Regular “Chick Nights” Can help ease anxiety

Busy women are always trying to find better ways to make their lives much easier and less stressful. I know I can sure use recommendations on how to manage my anxiety better. often we get so involved with taking care of others that we forget about what is really important; ourselves.

Best selling author Colleen Kleven understands how important it is for women to put themselves first. She shares her experience as a busy divorced mother of a very energetic kid and how close friendships with other women helped her get through the hard times in her life, in the book “The Beginner’s guide to Chick Night.”

Once a month Colleen and a couple of her closest pals go out (without their children) for a fun activity together that always includes chocolate dessert before the end of the night. during these “Chick Nights” they formed a special bond that only girlfriends can share. I found her stories touching and inspiring. However, as I read additionally in the book I realized how boring and depressing my life really is.

All of my close pals live in other states and I miss spending time with my girlfriends. I am so busy taking care of my family, home, and service that I just do not have time to go out and make pals with other women my age. However, I sure wish that I could.

The Beginner’s guide to Chick night is a terrific guide for women trying to find a way to connect with their girlfriends and forget about their daily lives for one night a month. Colleen describes the value of friendships and how to get around any obstacles that may stop you from spending time with other women.

Why “Chick Night” is so Important

“If you are married and raising children, or a single mother, or a single woman absolutely committed to her career, or a woman looking after her aging parents, or, or, or…chances are you have others to do for and you don’t have much time to get it all done. You a lot of likely work in and outside the home. On top of putting in all your hours at work, you look after the house and everyone in the house, doing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and groceries, helping with homework, running errands, driving “mom’s Taxi,” and so on, and so on, and so on!

Your time is in high demand, but I’ll bet you are doing the best you can to make sure that everything gets done and everyone is taken care of. Or are you?

This book was a wake-up call for me. maybe it is about time I try harder to make pals around here and start scheduling “Chick Night” for myself. Do you spend time with your girlfriends? how typically do you go out with other women? I would love to hear about your experiences.
